The ST250 uses the same principles as the MKV system to produce a mono and truly phase coherent stereo output from the ‘Single Point Source’ microphone. Powering is AC Mains, Phantom Power (+48V) or Battery – ideal for location recording. A B-Format switch enables the processor to output B-Format information for post production processing using a MKV processor or SP-451 Surround Sound Processor. Polar Pattern and Width controls allow selection of any polar pattern from omni through all cardioids to a figure-of-eight pattern and at any angle from 0° to 180°. The microphone is widely used for Ambisonic recording too.
The final signal output is -27dB.
