CM 12 S

Common name: Wunder Audio CM 12 S

Production Status: In production

The CM 12 Suprema is a large diaphragm multi-pattern vacuum tube condenser microphone. It is an historic replica of the AKG C12 with the added capability of selecting between nine different polar patterns from omnidirectional to figure of eight. The CM12 S uses a grille made to the exact same specifications of the original, a CK12 style dual backplate, dual diaphragm capsule with a 6-micron Mylar diaphragm, a “vintage correct” Hiller T14/1 transformer wound to Braunbuch specifications with identical laminations as those used in the original T14 and Suprema silver gold oil capacitors. The amplifier circuit is based around a NOS General Electric 5-star 6072A. Includes audiophile grade Wunder Audio power supply, oak wooden box, microphone cable with swivel mount and Tweed carrying case.
