Common name: Universal Audio Sphere DLX

Production Status: In production

The Sphere DLX is a microphone modelling system. It emulates the sound characteristics of 38 classic ribbon, condenser and dynamic microphones. The dual-channel large dual diaphragm condenser microphone is used in conjunction with the Sphere plug-in available in UAD, AAX DSP, AAX Native, VST and AU formats. The software models transient response, harmonics, proximity effect and polar response of a given microphone. Microphone type and polar pattern can be also changed after the recording has taken place. The Off-Axis Correction™ system helps reducing bleed and room colouration. The microphone can also record stereo signals. Includes elastic mount, 7.5 m split cable (5-pin XLR to 3-pin XLR), stand adapter and bag.
