Common name: Townsend Labs Sphere L22

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The Sphere L22 is a microphone modelling system. It models the characteristics of a wide selection of well known large diaphragm condenser microphones. The dual-channel microphone is used in conjunction with the Sphere plug-in available in UAD, AAX DSP, AAX Native, VST and AU formats. The software models transient response, harmonics, proximity effect and polar response of a given microphone. Microphone type and polar pattern can be also changed after the recording has taken place. The Off-Axis Correction™ system helps reducing bleed and room colouration. The microphone can also record stereo signals. Includes 3 metre (10 Foot) breakout cable, shock mount, swivel mount, plush dust cover and hard carrying case.
