The U48 is a large diaphragm multi-pattern vacuum tube condenser microphone. Like the original this recreation adds a bidirectional (figure of eight) pattern to the omnidirectional and cardioid of the U47. The U48 features an M7 type capsule and a BV8 transformer replica. The microphone is ideal or a wide range of applications, from vocals, to guitars, chamber ensembles and orchestras. The amplifier circuit is based around a VF14k vacuum tube. This is a direct replacement for the original VF14M. Includes M 940 power supply, M 840 25′ dual-shielded ACX-7 tube microphone cable, M740 shock mount, FC40 locking flight case and WB40 wooden microphone box.
