The ELA M 251E is a large diaphragm multi-pattern vacuum tube condenser microphone featuring a dual backplate edge-terminated CK12 type capsule. It is switchable between omnidirectional, cardioid and figure of eight polar patterns. The amplifier is based around a 6072A vacuum tube and a Haufe T14/1 output transformer. The ELAM 251E uses modern components with tighter tolerances for lower self-noise. Includes M 950E power supply, M 850E Sommer tube microphone cable, Rycote shock mount, FC50 locking flight case and wooden microphone box.
