The C12 is an accurate replica of the original AKG C12. It features a reverse-engineered CK12 capsule type with backplates matching the originals and hand-tuned and hand-glued diaphragms. The preamplifier is based around a premium grade 6072 valve driving a German made replica of the original Haufe T14 transformer. The only difference in the circuit is that it uses cathode self-biasing instead of the original fixed-bias configuration. All components, from the grille to the connectors and capsule mounts are compatible with the vintage AKG C12. Includes M910 power supply, M810 25′ Sommer tube microphone cable, Rycote shock mount, FC10 locking flight case and WB10 wooden microphone box.
