LSD-2

Common name: Studio Projects LSD-2

Production Status: In production

The LSD-2 uses a pair of dual-membrane capsules mounted in a single housing resulting in a microphone ideally suited to the coincident pair stereo techniques (MS, X/Y and Blumlein). The microphone is essentially a pair of Studio Projects C3 microphones with the upper capsule able to rotate through 270° horizontally. Each capsule can be switched through omni, figure-of-8 and cardioid patterns giving great flexibility. The capsule construction is a 27 mm Braunmuhl-Weber design and the low-noise electronics use FET-driven discrete balanced output stages. Each capsule has a switchable 10 dB attenuation pad and 150 Hz 6 dB/octave high-pass filter. Includes XLR-7 to two XLR-3 cable, foam windscreen and aluminium case.
