The 2275 Nugget is built to Sound Performance Lab’s specifications by Audio-Technica Japan to match SPL microphone amplifiers. The large diaphragm of this externally polarised condenser design is specially tensioned to provide smooth, natural sonic characteristics. The transformerless circuitry allows excellent transient response, virtually eliminates LF distortion and has exceptionally low noise coupled with a high SPL capability. The microphone uses a precision-machined nickel-plated baffle to provide an open acoustic (and symmetrical) environment to minimize internal reflections.
