The 017 FET Brass Black is a dual large diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone with a point-to-point wired circuit and a proprietary toroidal output transformer. The S17 capsule is hand tensioned. It is ideal for recording vocals and acoustic instruments such as piano an acoustic guitars. The 017 FET Brass Black is produced in a limited edition of 80 units. The Limited Edition features an upgraded brass version of the traditional body that is subject to a passivation process. By oxidising the brass, a protective coat of magnetite is formed on the microphone body to achieve its unique hue and patina finish. Includes a handcrafted hardwood oak case and custom hand-machine shock mount.
