Common name: Sony F-75

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The F-75 is an early (first marketed 1965) shotgun design, described as the F-75 Telemicrophone. It is unusual for using a dynamic capsule and an on-board battery-powered preamp. Output impedance could be set to 150, 250 or Hi-Z and three HPF settings (M, V1 and V2) were available. The cable output is 5-pin [possibly to allow for external powering? Ed.] and a 6.25mm jack output is available in the handle. [Photo and data – Mike Burnett]
