Common name: Shure KSM137

Production Status: In production

The KSM137 is an end-address condenser microphone with a cardioid polar pattern. It is designed for studio use, yet rugged enough for live applications, and can withstand extremely high sound pressure levels (SPL). It has a highly consistent cardioid polar pattern and uses an ultra-thin, 2.5 µm, 24 carat gold-layered, low mass Mylar diaphragm for superior transient response. The preamplifier is a Class A, discrete, transformerless design. A 17Hz subsonic filter is fitted to eliminate rumble caused by mechanical vibration. With the 25dB attenuator switched in the Max SPL is 164dB (170dB if the load impedance is increased to 5kohms).
