The sE5 is a pencil cardioid condenser microphone equipped with a 23 mm capsule (now replaced by by the sE8). It is a redesign of the previous sE4 with a new capsule and amplifier circuit. It has a 100 Hz bass cut and a switchable 10 dB or 20 dB attenuation pad. It is ideal for piano, drum overheads, percussion and acoustic guitars both in the studio and in live applications. It is finished in black matte and includes a custom-designed shock mount. It is also available in factory matched pairs.
