The RNT is a multi-pattern large diaphragm vacuum tube microphone designed in conjunction with Rupert Neve Designs. It features two active stages with fully discrete Class A electronics. The first stage is based around an amplification circuit that uses an ECC82/12AU7 valve and a custom designed RND output transformer. The second stage is contained within the power supply unit and uses another custom designed RND transformer. The power supply unit also features a + or – 12 dB gain switch, a switchable 40 Hz or 80 Hz high-pass filter and a nine position polar patter switch ranging from omnidirectional to cardioid and figure of eight plus intermediate positions. Includes flight case, custom shock mount, power supply, 8-pin microphone cable, wooden microphone box and power cable.
