Schoeps PolarFlexThe PolarFlex A2P CCM system consists of a CCM8, a CCM 2 the A 2 P CCM mount (CMC 6 + MK8 and CMC 6 + GVC 2 S and SG 22 double clip with Colette series), and the PolarFlex plug in. Nearly any conceivable microphone can be modelled. With the Polarflex plug-in it is possible to intelligently mix two capsules such that a totally new pattern with a unique sound is created. The plug-in mixes the outputs of two capsules (omni and figure-8) in three different frequency bands, such that the level and frequency response of the diffuse sound (and correspondingly, the directivity of the microphone at various frequencies) is altered. The direct sound and the diffuse-field can be controlled independently while the plug-in automatically maintains a constant overall sensitivity. It is ideal as a vocal microphone, for spot pickup of piano, or for highly customisable, over-all stereo pickup. The plug in is available in VST, RTAS, AU and AAX formats fro Mac and Windows operating systems.
