Common name: Schoeps Mono-Set CMC 6 MK 2

Production Status: In production

The Mono-Set CMC 6 MK 2 is a microphone set containing one CMC 6 microphone amplifier, an MK2 near-field omnidirectional capsule, SG 20 stand clamp, B 5 foam windscreens, Schoeps velcro cable strap, and wooden box. The capsule has an extremely flat and constant overall frequency response in the free-field. It should be used very close to the sound source. It is a measurement quality transducer that can be used with Bruel & Kjaer devices via the AMBK1 mechanical adapter (MK 2 Ni, Nickel version of the capsule only). It is ideal for all acoustic instruments including percussion. The microphone amplifier CMC 6 U and the capsule MK 2 form part of a modular microphone which permits the insertion of RC tubes or KC cables as well as other electronically active accessories between capsule and amplifier allowing for miniaturisation. The CMC 6U Amplifier offers a symmetrical, transformer-less, direct-coupled Class A output stage with low impedance, distortion, and interference. It is designed for standard 48 and 12 V phantom powering. Its circuitry recognises the supply voltage and adjusts itself automatically. It is also available as compact condenser microphone CCM 2. Matched pairs are available although normal production tolerances are very close. Custom colours are available on request.
