The CMIT 5 is a lightweight all metal shotgun microphone. It has a symmetrical polar patter and a very low coloration of off-axis sound. The directionality increases smoothly with higher frequencies resulting in a balanced sound while the sound level decreases gently for off-axis sounds reducing boom movement noise. It is ideal for dialogue recording, sports events and music recording where strong directionality is needed like in opera settings. The low cut (wind and handling noise), roll-off (proximity effect) and HF emphasis (windscreen compensation) filters are all controlled by electronic push-button switching with LED indication, the settings being retained while unpowered. It is available in standard blue, anthracite grey or chromagreen.
