The CU-44X MkII is a transformer-less cardioid condenser microphone equipped with two matched titanium capsules. One is dedicated to the bass frequencies and the other to the high frequencies. The capsules use a unique mounting setup to ensure phase accuracy. The titanium diaphragm is immune to temperature and humidity changes. The microphone has 100 volt internal power providing a super wide dynamic range and headroom. The frequency response is flat with a presence boost above 14 kHz to provide an airy high-end. Furthermore the microphone frequency response is maintained all the way up to 90 degrees resulting in no off-axis coloration and sonic transparency. It is ideal for vocals, overheads, piano, strings, sound effects, sound design and acoustic instruments. Includes S-44 elastic suspension and vinyl case.
