CMS-10

Common name: Sanken CMS-10

Production Status: In production

The CMS-10 is a compact and lightweight switchable stereo/mono shotgun microphone equipped with a durable and stable PPS diaphragm. The microphone is switchable between a very sharp directional Mono and rich Stereo in environmental imaging. The stereo angle is 127°. The CMS-10 uses a unique second-order pressure gradient design, enabling precision directional response via multiple cardioid elements in a front-back array. The capsules combine line microphone performance and second-order gradient response in a single system. High frequencies and low frequencies have been optimised along the front axis to provide sound focus while signal accuracy and channel separation between 400 Hz and 3 kHz provide optimal stereophonic localisation. The CMS-10 has an integrated 30 cm XLR-5M terminated cable. Includes suspension cylinder set, WSJ-10 short fur softie windjammer, two rubber plates and cardboard box.
