The 6091A is an active ribbon microphone. The difference between the 6011A and the 6019A is the simplified split body construction, different transformer and mesh grille material. The ribbon element is made from an electrically conductive composite material that is stronger than traditional aluminium. The ribbon is capable of handling very high sound pressure level and air blasts. It features a ribbon with a corrugation profile designed to minimise standing waves. The active electronics are designed to prevent damping the ribbon by providing a very high constant load and a low output. It has a 6 dB attenuation pad. Includes custom shock mount and storage case.
