The VL37 is a bidirectional passive ribbon microphone combining the same components and the same sound as the MF65 with an innovative design and stainless steel body. The ribbon motor has a very short front-to-back path and is coupled to a custom made amorphous core toroidal transformer produced in-house. Thanks to a proprietary corrugation process the ribbon element is very resistant and doesn’t need any special handling. The microphone features a ruler flat frequency response between 20 Hx and 25 kHz. The VL37 can handle high sound pressure levels and has a built-in pop filter. It is ideal for drum overheads, choir, piano, violin, orchestra, brass instruments, vocals, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, room ambience and orchestral recordings. Includes wooden box and shock-proof microphone clip.
