The Bova Ball is a spherically mounted small diaphragm microphone. It features all discrete Class A transformer-less electronics with an active balanced output. The components are hand-selected and precision-matched. The microphone is hand-wired and assembled. It has a solid brass construction with a precision Manfrotto ball and socket for optimal positioning. The microphone exhibit an omnidirectional polar response that becomes gradually more directional towards higher frequencies. It is ideal for any source requiring excellent transient detail like drum overheads, percussion and hi-hats.
