The HC-15 is a hypercardioid shotgun microphone with a very low self-noise. In order to keep the price competitive the HC series microphones are shipped with only a case without clips, foams or other accessories. The HC series microphones are designed in-house and made at the Rycote factory in the U.K. As such, Rycote is able to utilise much of their current manufacturing and testing resources they use to make other Rycote products. This allows for a competitive retail price. They are ideal for live broadcast, sound design, ENG, TV, cinema and field recording applications. The HC-15 can be operated at 24V with reduced SPL capabilities compared to standard 48V operation.
