Mini K47x

Common name: Roswell Mini K47x

Production Status: In production

The Mini K47x is a large, single backplate diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone. It mates the Roswell K47 style capsule with the transformer-coupled circuit used for the K67x. The Mini 34mm K47x capsule has a rise in its frequency response in the 4 to 6 kHz range, with a neutral top end. The circuit design borrows from the flagship Colares microphone. It is a single-stage JFET/transformer topology, built around a selected vintage European-made output capacitor, selected modern filter capacitors and an oversized T7 transformer with high nickel lamination. The JFET is a custom designed bipolar electrolytic, with a special formulation that was initially developed for the well-known Black Gate line of capacitors. Includes non-resonant Cutaway™ shockmount, Roswell branded microfleece mic sock, and an upgraded flight case.
