A long-rifle (shotgun) version of the NTG3. It uses the RF capacitor technique to give high immunity to humidity. It provides increased directionality across a wide frequency response range. The NTG8 is ideal for film, television, sports and outdoor broadcasting, live performance, and any professional distance pickup application. The microphone has low self-noise and natural sound without colouration both on and off-axis. The NTG8 is finished in matte black and includes a specially designed shock mount (SM8) that is engineered to provide excellent handling noise isolation, cable management and versatile mounting options for the microphone, a rugged weatherproof aluminium cylinder to protect the microphone in transport or storage and a WSNTG8 windshield.
