PR

Common name: Reslosound PR

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The PR is a compact cardioid ribbon microphone for broadcast, public address and recording applications. PR stands for Pencil Microphone. By using a form or rear damping the PR provides a cardioid polar pattern response (phase-delayed cardioid). If a bidirectional polar resposnse is needed the damping can be easily removed. It was used by the BBC (300 Ohm) and available in low (PRL), mid (PRM) and high (PRH) impedance variants.
