The BK-10A is a hypercardioid ribbon microphone for televisioon amnd radio broadcast, recording an public address applications. The directivity is achieved by using two unidirectional elements with a thin corrugated metal ribbon clamped under light tension. One side of the ribbon is open to the air and the other open into an acoustical lybirinth which has aphase shift openings. The labirinth of each element features a shielded matching transformer and filter to protect the ribbon from wind and noise blasts. The BK-10A has an integrated 18 inch cable designed to attenuate stand noise.
