The VTB is a large diaphragm vacuum tube condenser microphone. It has a dual diaphragm capsule providing nine different polar patterns from omnidirectional to figure of eight. These are switchable directly from the MX-56 power supply. The pattern control can also be disabled to run the capsule with a single diaphragm for a “pure cardioid” setting. The VTB amplifier circuit is based around a 5784 vacuum tube, has a 15 dB attenuation pad and a low-cut filter. Includes wooden box, power supply, 7-pin microphone cable, shock mount and flight case.
