The 22 47 is a large diaphragm vacuum tube multi pattern condenser microphone styled after the short-body U47. The capsule is a 34 mm single back-plate with dual 3 micron gold sputtered Mylar diaphragms. The 22 47 amplification circuit is based around a 6072A vacuum tube and a custom transformer. The dual back-plate capsule provides nine different polar pattern, all remotely selectable from the MX-56 power supply.. The 22 47 is ideal for vocals and instrument recording including brass, drums and guitar amplifiers. Includes wooden box, MX-56 power supply, 8-pin microphone cable, shock-mount and flight case. Matched pairs are available on request.
