Open Plan Recording O.P.R. 251The O.P.R. 251 is a multi-pattern latge diaphrahm tube condenser microphone inspired by the Telefunken Ela M251. It features a tube self bias operating point and a single stage, transformer coupled output. The circuit is hand assembled in Melbourne Australia with quality through hole components. It is equipped with a large diaphragm 34 mm edge terminated capsule gold coated and six micron Mylar film diaphragms. It shares a similar sonic fingerprint to the original CK12 but with a much simplified internal construction that allows it to be manufactured at a much lower price point. A vintage specification O.P.R. manufactured capsule is available as an extra option. Includes power supply with pattern selctor (omnidirectional, cardioid, bidirectional and six intermediate patterns), microphone cable, shock-mount, wooden microphone box and aluminium carrying case.
