The MC50 Quad is a large diaphragm condenser microphone with two 32 mm dual diaphragm capsules. It has four separate output, one for each diaphragm. In stereo mode infinitely directional patterns are available, from omnidirectional to figure of eight and anything in between. It can record stereo XY, Blumlein, MS, double MS and surround, all with perfect mono compatibility. The capsules are heated to allow operation in extreme climatic conditions, with humidity or low temperatures, down to – 30 degrees celsius. The microphone has a transformer-less circuit design with ultra-low noise matched transistors, film capacitors, military grade resistors and no electrolytic capacitors in the signal path. There are four separate circuits, one for each capsule diaphragm. It also has a 10 dB attenuation pad and a 70 Hz low-cut filter inside the body. Includes wooden box and a 3 metre long XLR 10-pin to four standard 3-pin XLR breakout cable.
