TLM 103 D

Common name: Neumann TLM 103 D

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The TLM 103 D is a digital version of the TLM 103. The design incorporates a solution-D converter and supports all standard sampling frequencies from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz. This can be paired with a basic Connection Kit (S/PDIF or AES/EBU), or to a DMI-2 digital microphone interface. Sensitivity (94dB SPL) is -39 dBfs. A Solution-D digital microphone system is made up of one or more digital microphones, a Digital Microphone Interface (DMI) and the Remote Control Software (RCS) which allows the remote control of the microphones. A PC or Mac can be used as the control computer, as well as DAW for recording. A DMI allows connection to all subsequent devices that have an AES/EBU interface. As an alternative to a DMI, a Connection Kit can be used to connect Solution-D microphones to the AES/EBU or S/PDIF interface of a recording system. If a Connection Kit is used the microphone functions cannot be remotely controlled.
