The CM-100 is a small diaphragm electret condenser microphone with interchangeable capsules. It comes with a separate battery operated power supply (9.1 v mercury). This provides very low-noise operation as well as facilities for – 10 dB or – 2- dB attenuation pads and a 100 Hz, 10 dB/octave bass attenuation filter. The microphone features a high-gain amplifier with a hand-selected low noise FET and a DC-DC converter stepping the voltage up from 9.1 V to 50 V. The electronics are molded in a special soilicon compound to whitstand shock as well as extreme temperature and humidity. The CM-100 comes with the CP-101 cardioid capsule and an optional CP-102 super-cardioid capsule can be purchased separately. This employs a very small diaphragm with high-tension gold-metalized polyester film to reduce difraction and provide a close to ideal omnidirectional response. Includes power supply unit, battery, connecting cables, stand adapter and windscreeen.
