The ALM1 is a large diaphragm studio microphone. All parts are made in-house, including the capsule, allowing accurate control of its structure. The dual diaphrags are gold layered Melinex, and the backplate and edge rings are hand-finished brass. The impedance converter uses an EF86 pentode and a Sowter output transformer.
