The WME 952 is a weatherproof microphone unit for stationary and mobile noise control and the analysis of environmental and traffic noise. It consists of the 1/2″ pre-polarised measuring microphone capsule MK 250, the 1/2″ measuring microphone preamplifier MV 210 with a 5 m BNC – RG 58 cable, the dehumidifier TA 202, the rain shield RS 95, the wind shield WS 94 with bird spike and the mechanical holder. The WME 952 can be connected directly to measuring systems with IEPE inputs. The measuring microphone preamplifier has an integrated memory for microphone identification. Microphone data can be entered and read by the manufacturer/user by using the memory (IEEE P1451.4 TEDS editor). The microphone unit can be calibrated with the Pistonphone type 5002 or other current sound pressure calibrators. The WME 952 is designed for sound level meters of Type 1 according to IEC 61672.
