The 42B is the classic Melodium classic bidirectional ribbon microphone built by Charles Bouteleau and Émile Furn in Paris in the nineteen-forties. It features a propietary 3-pin connector and a three position lever selector with “Speaker”, “Voix” and “Musique” settings. The 42Bn is an updated version built and sold by Kerwax Studios (see under this brand name for the reissue model).
