Josephson Engineering C716The C715 a unique design of studio microphone which allows a variable pattern with a single diaphragm capsule. This is achieved by using an adjustable vent to give omni to cardioid polar patterns. The microphone uses a foam metal mesh grille”to minimise internal reflections. The impedance converter uses a Class A cascode FET front end and a Lundahl nickel core transformer ouptut. The capsule is internally shock mounted. The capsule polarisation uses a linear supply.
