The Akita is a valve microphone inspired by a Japanese classic. It uses a NOS 6AU6 tube and a modern power supply with nine selectable polar patterns. The custom Plexiglass circuit board features gold plated pins, connected with 4% silver bearing solder and Elna, Nichicon, Philips and a Vishay MKP1840 coupling capacitor. The output transformer is the same Sony type used in the Japanese microphone that inspired the Akita. The microphone can be ordered with a choice of a standard 6-micron JJ67 capsule or a range of optional premium capsules. Includes case, power supply, 7-pin microphone cable, shock-mount and IEC cable.
