RM2F Mark 2

Common name: Horch RM2F Mark 2

Production Status: In production

The RM2F Mark 2 is a large diaphragm multi-pattern valve microphone featuring a custom CK12 style capsule and a Nickel-Iron transformer coupled  amplification circuit based around a AC701 vacuum tube. The polar pattern can be continuously varied between omnidirectional and bidirectional. The RM2F Mark 2 can be operated in standard Blue mode or special Red ‘vocal’ mode. The RM2F Mark 2 can beequipped with the optional HIC. The Horch Impedance Converter converts the output impedance of the microphone capsule and increases the sensitivity and linearity together with the subsequent tube amplifier. The tube amplifier works without any frequency response correction by feedback. The Pure Tube Mode, switches the HIC completely out of the signal flow. The RM2F Mark2 is available in more than 4 variants, the RM2F “Ralf Style” is the most common model. Includes standard NT1206 power supply and 0microphone cable with swivel joint.
