The Heritage is a professional dynamic studio microphone with a distinct 50’s look, including a chrome finish. The design uses a large diameter, low mass aluminium voice coil (28.5 mm) assembly similar to the one used in the PR 40 . The phase plug and symetrical ports is claimed to produce a linear cardioid response and a reduced proximity effect. The microphone has a mid-range boost centered at 4 kHz for enhanced brilliance and presence. The capsule is mounted on a sorbothane mount and there is an internal foam windscreen. It is equally suited for studio, live sound and broadcast applications. The microphone is copper plated and then double chrome plated. It is also available in matte black.
