The GDSM 200 is a dynamic stereo microphone with swing-out arms and two capsules with a super cardioid polar pattern. The microphone was also manufactured by Sennheiser as the MDS-1 employing a capsule similar to those used in the MD 409. It is ideal for speech and instrument applications such as drum overhead, toms, room ambience and electric guitar amplifier cabinets.
