The MD2a is a large diaphragm cardioid tube condenser microphone. It uses a 32 mm Josephson made capsule and a 12AT7 tube. The MD2a is equipped with a variable attenuation pad ranging from 10 to 20 dB in ten steps. It is ideal for vocals and acoustic instruments. PS2M power supply, EC-1 M 9 pin microphone cable, MSC moisture proof case and ST-1 shock mount priced separately. The “a” versions feature a new amplifier circuitry to further reduce noise, increase headroom, high frequency response and lower total harmonic distortion than the previous ones.
