The MD1a is a large diaphragm electret cardioid tube condenser microphone. It uses a 10 micron Primo made capsule and a 12AT7 tube. It is ideal for vocals and acoustic instruments. PS2M power supply, EC-1 M 9 pin microphone cable, MSC moisture proof case and ST-1 shock mount priced separately. The “a” versions feature a new amplifier circuitry to further reduce noise, increase headroom, high frequency response and lower total harmonic distortion than the previous ones.
