The Groove Tubes GT57 is a side-address true condenser with a hand-assembled, hand-tested 1.10-inch diameter capsule machined from brass. The ultra-thin 3-micron evaporated-gold diaphragm uses Disk Resonator technology to expand the typical large diaphragm response beyond 20 kHz. The amplifier uses a FET in Class A mode and, as with other Groove Tubes’ microphones, rigorous quality control insures that all microphones are within +/-1 dB of their golden”microphone spec to permit unrestricted use as matched pairs.
