The R1A is an active bidirectional ribbon microphone equipped with an internally shock-mounted 50 mm x 5 mm, 2 micron thick element, a Lundahl 1927A output transformer, Wima film capacitors, Nichicon Gold electrolytic capacitors, Mogami cabling and Neutrik gold plated connectors. The microphone is equipped with a switchable 160 Hz, 6 dB/octave high-pass filter and a 10 dB attenuation pad.
