The GA-8000 is a recreation of Sony famous C800. It has a semiconductor active cooling system to keep the temperature of the French Cifte NOS 6AU6 tube low. The heat generated by the tube is transferred to the reverse side of the semiconductor and to the outer aluminium alloy heat sink at the rear of the microphone. This heat sink will then dissipate the heat from semiconductor cooling chip to the air surrounding the microphone. The GA-8000 uses a gold plated Rogers ceramic circuit board for maximum insulation and reliability. The power supply utilises a solid state rectifying circuit. The coupling capacitors are German made Siemens Epcos. The connecting wires are oxygen free copper soldered with Felder silver-copper solder. The microphone comes with a Rycote USM-VB shock-mount.
