The 715 is a general purpose omnidirectional ceramic microphone. It is well suited for conference, group pickup, tape recording and paging systems. The 715 SR variant is designed for mobile transmitters while the 715S features an on/off switch. The 715SR incorporates a relay-actuating switch which closes the microphone relay circuit. A button on the back allows auto-dash suspension. The case is made of die-cast zinc with metalustre grey finish.
