The QTC40 is a small diaphraghm omnidirectional electret condenser microphone featuring an extended 3 Hz – 40 kHz ruler-flat frequency response. It has an SPL rating of 140 dB and there is no proximity effect allowing close placement to the sound source. It is ideal for recording quieter sources such as vocals, strings and distant miked orchestras or choirs, drum overheads, close-miked wind and percussion instruments, and foley.
