The 2006A is part of the d:dicate recording microphone series. It is a combination of the MMC 2006 omnidirectional capsule and the MMP-A preamplifier. The MMP-A is an ultra-transparent, transformer-less preamplifier with active drive for impedance balancing. It is also available as the 2006C where the MMC 2006 capsule is coupled to the MMP-C Compact microphone preamplifier. It has a slightly softer character than the other DPA preamplifiers. The microphone is equipped with a switchable 20 dB attenuation pad.
