The VX2 is a large diaphragm transformer-coupled multi-pattern vacuum tube condenser microphone with interchangeable CAD Optema series 1.25″ (OS-125) and 1.1″ (OS-110) capsules. It can be switched between omnidirectional, cardioid and figure of eight polar pattern response. The capsules can be swapped depending on source and desired result. The microphone features a -8 or -16 dB attenuation pad and a low-cut filter. The power supply can accommodate an optional Analog to Digital converter module capable of 24 bit and 96 kHz digital output. The preamplifier is based around a 12AU7/5814A and a 12AX7/ECC83 vacuum tubes. Includes power supply, microphone cable, ZM2 shock-mount and carrying case.
